I’ve been a real estate agent since 1979.

Real estate can help us reach our goals, and I am here to help you reach yours. That has been my job for the past 30 years. This view has made me comfortable in many sorts of buyer’s or seller’s markets, and I’ve been fortunate to help many, many people in the course of my career. If you would like to buy or sell a home, condominium, or income property, I hope you will allow me to use my experience to help you accomplish your goal.

Seattle is my home.

I grew up in Seattle and raised my family here. It takes a lifetime to get used to the distinct and developing characteristics of each of Seattle’s neighborhoods, and I’m proud to say I know them pretty well. It’s true: I’ve never lived anywhere else. There was a moment when my wife Lin and I were on vacation in San Diego, and the sun was out every day, and we looked at each other and said “We could live here!” It wore off, though! Seattle is special, and I know the ins & outs very well. I enjoy passing on information—about Laurelhurst’s magnificent water views, Wallingford’s charm, or the changes in Ballard—to the purchasers that I’m working with. We’ll find you the characteristics in a home in the neighborhood that works for you.

If you’re selling, we’ll work together to develop your property to its fullest potential. I can help you receive the highest amount that the market will bear and net the most money possible from your sale. It’s always good to market by showing off the positives—and then price according to reality. We’ll look at the situation from all angles: I can recommend cost-effective improvements, analyze their potential benefit, and determine the market value of your home before and after any work is completed. I can also assist you in hiring contractors to complete the work. When we’re ready, I handle the paperwork to list your property and make it available to local agents and purchasers; I advertise locally and through our substantial Internet presence; assist you in negotiating the agreement; and follow the sale through financing, escrow and closing. Your satisfaction is my job, and my pleasure.

I have worked for many years with investors.

Although I am an agent first and foremost, I have maintained a strong interest in local income property, starting with buying my first investment property in 1980. I am a member of the Board of Realtors, the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, the Rental Housing Association of Puget Sound, and the Commercial Brokers Association.
